All yearsModel overview
The Beneteau Oceanis 42 is a cruising sailing yacht by Marc Lombard Yacht Design, with exterior and interior design by Nauta Design. It succeeds the Oceanis 40.1 and combines twin helm stations with five accommodation layouts for private cruising or charter.
At 12.86 m overall, it offers an opening bathing platform and a choice of open or enclosed aft cockpit arrangements. The gallery contains official BENETEAU renderings and layout drawings.
Specifications are provisional, based on BENETEAU’s European equipment sheet dated 23 September 2026. Options and final configuration should be confirmed with the builder.
Interiors
Five layouts are offered: two cabins/one head; three cabins/one head; three cabins/two heads; three cabins/three heads; and four cabins/two heads for charter. The two-cabin version includes a workshop.
Galley position and shape vary with the layout. The standard arrangement has an L-shaped galley with 215 litres of combined refrigerated storage, a saloon and a dedicated desk. Sand oak joinery, large hull windows and opening hatches shape the interior; finishes and upholstery depend on the chosen specification.
Electronics
Seanapps provides remote monitoring through an onboard unit and mobile app; available data depends on the boat’s equipment. Raymarine Coastal and Offshore electronics packages, radar and AIS options are listed separately. Optional coachroof solar panels provide 260 W.
