Jeanneau Yachts 55

The Jeanneau Yachts 55 takes an unusual approach to offshore cruising: the owner’s accommodation occupies the forward part of the yacht, while two guest cabins have independent access from the cockpit. Philippe Briand and Winch Design combine this private interior with a sheltered forward cockpit and an aft area devoted to dining and sunbathing.

Configuration and technical notes

The current Jeanneau Yachts brochure lists 19,311 kg light displacement, rather than the 18,542 kg still shown on the model page. Waterline length is 16.02 m and mast height above water is 25.20 m. Standard sail area is 122 m²; the optional full-batten mainsail and 110% genoa total 154 m². A 1.90 m shoal keel is optional. Fuel can be increased to 460 litres and water to 990 litres. The Expedition edition adds a separate equipment package; those items are not assumed to be standard on every 55.
