The Sunseeker 134 Superyacht has arrived in Poole after completing its first construction phase in Portland. The 40.45-metre motor yacht was towed along the Dorset coast to the builder’s dedicated superyacht facility, where work now moves towards the onboard systems, interiors and bespoke finishes.

The transfer marks a change of focus for the project: the hull, main deck and superstructure are in place, together with much of the machinery and essential services. The owner has also chosen a bespoke hull finish called “Extreme Black” for the completed yacht.

From hull construction to installed machinery

At Portland, Sunseeker’s teams moulded the hull and fitted the main deck and superstructure. The work also included installing the engines, generators, shafts, propellers, stabilisers and core hydraulic systems.

Fuel and fresh-water systems, along with the grey-water and black-water networks, have been installed during this stage. According to Sunseeker, this engineering work provides the foundations for the next phase at Poole.

Systems integration and interior fit-out in Poole

At the dedicated superyacht facility, the next stage brings together wheelhouse technology, electrical infrastructure and onboard systems. Bespoke cabinetry, interior spaces and finishing details will be developed alongside that integration work.

The 134’s design combines extensive glazing with outdoor living areas extending from a beach club at water level to the flybridge. Sunseeker describes an interior that can be tailored through the choice of materials, detailing and the way individual spaces are arranged.

An “Extreme Black” finish chosen by the owner

The owner’s chosen black hull finish is intended to emphasise the yacht’s lines and proportions. The photographs accompanying this first glimpse were supplied in black and white and show the yacht during its transfer, before the Poole fit-out is complete.

The published principal dimensions are 40.45 metres overall, a beam of 7.94 metres and a draught of 2.40 metres, with a gross tonnage of 346 GT. This arrival is a construction milestone; the announcement does not give a delivery date.
