Askari 65 Power

The Askari 65 Power is a 20-metre aluminium motor yacht built in Cape Town by Askari Yachts and designed by Du Toit Yacht Design. Launched in 2026, it is conceived for long-distance cruising and extended stays aboard.

The four-cabin arrangement provides eight berths and four ensuite bathrooms, with an aft owner’s cabin. Custom layouts can include three guest cabins and separate crew accommodation. An aft galley serves the cockpit through an opening window; the saloon, forward outdoor lounge and flybridge provide additional living areas.

The builder estimates about 2,300 nautical miles at 8.5 knots from 4,650 litres of fuel, or up to 3,100 nautical miles at economical displacement speeds in ideal conditions. These are calculated estimates, not verified sea-trial results. The current model page lists an approximate maximum speed of 14 knots; the launch release gives 14.5 knots.

Accommodation and equipment vary by build. Optional engine upgrades should be confirmed with the yard: its model page and launch release list different upgrade versions. Displacement, fresh-water capacity, certified passenger capacity and CE design category are not specified in the official sources reviewed.
