The Excess 11 is a cruising sailing catamaran with twin aft helm stations, offered with three or four cabins. Naval architecture is by VPLP, exterior design by Patrick le Quément and interiors by Nauta Design.
The manufacturer currently presents Standard, Riders’ Edition and Hybrid versions. The specifications below describe the standard diesel boat unless a different version or option is named. The open cockpit connects the two steering positions with the crew’s living space. The owner’s cabin can accommodate a 2 × 2 m bed, and the bathrooms have separate showers. Interior finishes include Cedar & White Touch, with three decoration schemes described by the manufacturer.
Pulse Line increases the upwind sail area from 90 to 95.5 m²; the 54 m² Code 0 is optional. Riders’ Edition adds dedicated storage and outdoor equipment for carrying activity gear. The Hybrid version combines two electric pod motors with a generator; these are alternatives to the standard diesel installation, not additional standard equipment.

Older documents contain different rig specifications. The current figures above follow the live model page. The 2024 brochure additionally lists 18.26 m mast clearance for Pulse Line and an optional 300 L water tank, giving 600 L total. Confirm specifications for the particular build and version.

Interiors
Three-cabin / two-head and four-cabin / two-head layouts are shown in the official drawings. Sleeping capacity is 6–12, depending on configuration. The saloon and cockpit plan, both cabin layouts, and standard and optional roof plans are included in the plans gallery. The owner’s bed measures 2 × 2 m; separate showers and Cedar & White Touch finishes are described by Excess.
Electronics
Excess describes SEANAPPS connected monitoring through an onboard device and mobile application. Hybrid version only: two 10 kW underwater pod motors, 22 kVA generator and 8 kVA charger/inverter. Lithium batteries are listed as 4 × 230 A + 4 × 230 A; battery energy capacity is not stated. These hybrid specifications must not be treated as equipment fitted to the diesel version.

Excess 11 Pulse Line (2025) for sale in Palermo, Sicily. Rúna is a three-cabin owner's catamaran with solar power, lithium batteries and a watermaker. This UK-flagged sailing catamaran has two heads and eight berths, including a convertible double berth in the saloon. The seller reports near-new condition, approximately 400 hours on each engine and more than €130,000 in factory options and owner upgrades. The remaining manufacturer's warranty and winter storage in Palermo until April 2027 are included, according to the seller. Energy and water autonomy Three 540 W bifacial solar panels provide 1,620 W in total, supported by a Titan Marine 920 Ah lithium bank and a Victron 3,000 W inverter. The installation includes two Orion XS DC-DC chargers, SmartSolar MPPT, Lynx distribution and Cerbo GX monitoring with a GX Touch 70 display. An Aqua Nautica watermaker rated at 115 L/h complements the 600-litre freshwater capacity. Pulse Line sails and twin diesel engines The Pulse Line package includes grey Pro-Radial square-top mainsail and overlapping furling genoa, with a stated upwind sail area of 95.5 m². A 54 m² Mylar Code 0 is supplied with bowsprit and furler. Sail handling is supported by a starboard electric winch, port Harken winch and lazy bag. Two Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel engines deliver 29 HP each through saildrives with three-blade folding propellers. Navigation and life aboard Garmin equipment includes a 12-inch GPSMAP chartplotter, AIS 800 transceiver, VHF, autopilot and wind, speed, depth and temperature instruments. The cockpit has a folding teak table, cushions, side panels, twin helm seats and stainless-steel davits. Inside are electric toilets, hot water, refrigerator, freezer, oven, galley hob, cabin fans and a Fusion Apollo RA670 audio system. Price and location Asking price: €420,000 excluding VAT.
